New digital printing machine a major attraction at fairs and congresses
Reacting with speed and flexibility to changing market demands: an increasingly important ability for suppliers of metal and plastic packaging. Technical solutions which enable this agility are attracting more and more attention. A prime example for such a solution is the brand new digital printer D240.2, introduced recently by Hinterkopf at different events around the globe.
„The very high level of interest and the many appointments are proof that market leaders realize the role of digital printing for addressing future market challenges“, reports Alexander Hinterkopf, Managing Director of Hinterkopf GmbH. In addition to it’s technical capabilities, the new solution follows the concept Industry 4.0 – network integrated production.
The latest generation is based on the original D240, introduced in 2014 as the first fully digital printing machine for metal and plastic packaging. The newest member of the D240 family recently introduced comes packed with even higher precision decoration of tubes, aerosol cans, bottles, cartridges and other cylindrical containers made from aluminum, steel or plastic. Compared to it’s predecessor, the new machine comes with further increased speed. „The new inks provide an even higher intensity – allowing for a lower ink consumption“, adds Alexander Hinterkopf. An added benefit is the smaller footprint of the machine, which allows very easy integration in existing production lines.
