The plan was to reveal our next world innovation at this year‘s Metpack. The Covid-19 crisis made this impossible, which is why we are excited to present this innovation online. The new high-speed necking machine N45.5 comes with 45 stations and opens up new possibilities for the shaping of bottles and cans made from aluminum. Aside from complex shaped containers, very light weight and thin wall containers made with the DWI process can be shaped and necked with a single necking machine. A useable adjustable stroke between 58 and 143 mm paired with a diameter range from 35 to 59 mm allow for the widest variety of bottles, cans and other containers from aluminum, with maximum efficiency and speeds up to 230 containers per minute. The new machine was designed based on the proven N40 platform, and custom engineered for speed and accuracy. As a result, the brand new N45.5 combines accuracy, quality and flexibility with state-of-the art usability and ease of maintenance.
